Garden buildings – so many possibilities

Garden buildings are so versatile. Whatever you want one for you can find something to suit your requirements. From basic storage for garden tools and bike through to bespoke summer houses for your children, there’s a wooden building for everyone’s garden.

You might just want a shed for your garden, but many people are getting more ambitious with their garden buildings and it’s not hard to see why. Having an extra building outside, away from the main home, opens up all sorts of possibilities for home workers and hobbyists alike. Your own little sanctuary away from the distractions and interruptions of everyday life, where can you focus, relax and find inspiration. So scrap those plans for a shed and think big instead – garden offices, summer houses, studios and workshops. It doesn’t have to cost the earth – quite literally.

Wooden buildings are a cost effective and environmentally friendly to expand your living and work space. The surge in popularity of utilising the garden for extra space has been led by the boom in home working. Home workers soon realise the drawbacks and pitfalls of trying to work in the main home. Even with a dedicated work space, you’re prone to constant interruptions. Not to mention temptations. Putting a little distance between home life and work life if you don’t commute to an office can have huge benefits. Peace, quiet and focus without the lure of the TV, fridge or the distraction of the children.

Garden offices benefit from natural light. A welcome alternative to harsh artificial alternatives. They can be insulated to allow for year round use and hooked up to the mains to provide any additional power and heat you need. Be careful though, you might come to love it so much you won’t want to go back indoors at the end of the day.
