Whether you you’ve been on holiday and not had time to buy your Christmas gifts, you have to buy for someone you didn’t expect to buy for, or perhaps your brother has a new girlfriend and her birthday is coming up—here are some tips to help you choose those last minute gifts.
Consider flowers. Most women love flowers, so you can’t really go wrong with a lovely arrangement of classic flowers such as white roses, pink carnations, or asters. If you want to choose the person’s favourite flowers, pick up the phone and call someone who knows them well to ask. Use same day flower delivery to get your gift there on time, and make it look like you were thinking well ahead.
Gift cards also make great last minute gifts. Some people think of gift cards as being a cop-out gift, but who doesn’t love spending money, and if the money is to a shop that person really likes—a music shop, book shop, jewellery store, or even a spa—you’re sure to see a smile when they open the card. In fact, your gift might wind up being their favourite one. Most people also love chocolates. But try to make sure if the recipient of your gift is on a diet or not, because people can be annoyed if they are given food as a gift when they are on a certain diet and can’t or don’t want to eat too many sweets.
Another great gift is tickets to a concert or show. It’s something fun and expendable, so even if they aren’t crazy about it’s not going to sit around for months or years reminding them that they didn’t really like it that much. But do try to find a concert or show that they will enjoy—ask some people what they like, or have a look in their CD and DVD shelves for ideas.
