One woman who is determined to have a great hen do is actress and TV presenter Denise Welch. In fact, she’s not content with just one party so she’s having three, Bang Showbiz reports.
The celebrity revealed that she is planning a trio of celebrations in London, Manchester and Portugal ahead of her big day in July, when she will tie the knot with fiance Lincoln Townley.
According to the news source, Denise is arranging “three huge parties with her close female friends”.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, the star remarked: “I’ve got two hen do’s planned… one in London, one in um … three actually! One in London, one in Manchester and one in Portugal.”
However, while she may know the locations of the bashes, she is not fully in the picture as to the itineraries. She compared her situation to the reality TV show Don’t Tell the Bride in which the groom plans the nuptial celebrations without any input from the bride.
She said: “Lincoln’s doing more than me, which is fine! That’s all we can say.”
Unlike most brides-to-be, Denise will remain sober on her hen nights. Last year, she vowed to stop drinking after Lincoln showed her a video of herself when she was drunk. When asked whether she will be celebrating her nuptials with a glass of champagne, she said: “No – we don’t drink anymore at all.”
Typically, it is the maid of honour who arranges the hen party and sorts out all the hen party T shirts and other extras for the event.
