Kitchen tiles can finish off the look of your kitchen and many interior designers say that this is the most important choice you will make when creating a new kitchen. Many of you will be seeking inspiration for what kitchen tiles to select for your project, so we thought we’d offer our own advice on how best to use backsplash tiles in your design.
If your kitchen is quite dark and small, we would recommend that you install white tiles to give the room a feeling of space and make it appear bigger than it actually is. White tiles are excellent for reflecting light, while darker tiles do the opposite of this. This is why choosing the color of your tiles is so important to the success of your kitchen remodel. We’ve lost count of the number of customers of ours who have removed darker brown tiles from their kitchen and installed white tiles in their place with excellent results.
When people are shopping for tiles, they are searching for tiles that they can install and fit themselves. Many of us will be working on a budget and will not be looking to pay labor costs to a hire a skilled tradesman to fit the tiles on our behalf. This can really increase the cost of the project.
Tiling can be a hard practice, especially if you have never tiled before. We would highly recommend that you do your research and learn the basics by watching videos and reading tutorials before you begin.

Tiles have the advantage of being easy to clean and maintain, so these tiles will last for many years. We’d recommend that you look at all types of tiles.
